Br. Thomas receives visa for USA
We've been awaiting word on the visa application of Br. Thomas to be able to live in the USA with his bride, Sr. Magdalena. As of this morning, Thomas writes:
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
A couple of hours ago, a very nice lady at the US Embassy in London said I can come and live in the USA.
Because we have been married less than two years, it the visa is valid for two years, but renewable within the final 90 days, with much less formality than the process to date.
Magdalena and I thank all who have prayed for this.
I am convinced someone prayed especially that I should sleep well last night--which, contrary to my every expectation, I did.
Finally, Sr Magdalena insists that I fess up that my first port of call was the nearest Starbucks, from where I am sending this email, surrounded by my Americano and pastry!
We will never forget the Feast of St Matthew, nor indeed the vernal equinox, time of balance in the universe, when all stops for a split second, and then moves in the opposite ditection, like God breathing in, and then out again.
Deo gratias,
Your brother,
Thomas oef
Br. Thomas adds that Magdalena will be in the UK September 25 - October 9, and that he will come "home" with her October 9.
