The 2010 Juniper Cup competition is over! Donning various hats and explaining their Franciscan significance, members of the OEF vied for the privilege of having the traveling trophy -- the tunic of St. James the Least -- go home with them for the coming year. The winner: Michael Vosler, whose rendition of "Friar Fire" caught the judges' attention.

Congratulations, Michael! In addition to hosting the trophy for a year, Michael will determine the nature of the competition for the 2011 gathering.

Ed Shirley, SFO, and Ken Norian, TSSF, representing their respective orders at the OEF Chapter, were two of the judges for the competition.

Bruce Kay and Owusu Slater practice a bit in preparation for a worship service. The OEF weekend gathering is marked by a variety of worship experiences reflecting the diversity of the Order's membership as well as the shared traditions of the Order.

 

Members and guests of the OEF are gathered in Cedarbrake Retreat Center in Temple, Texas, for the annual Chapter and Convocation.
